Frozen Fruit Sliced Cookies
1 cup butter
1 cup confectioner's sugar (sifted
1 egg
2 1/4 cups flour (sifted)
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
1/2 cup candied fruit or citron (chopped)
1 cup whole candied cherries
 
 
  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Beat in egg
  3. Stir in flour and cram of tartar
  4. Mix in pecans and chopped fruit
  5. Roll dough into logs that are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter
  6. Freeze logs over night, wrapped in plastic wrap
  7. Slice into 1/8 inch slices
  8. Place cookies on greased cookie sheet
  9. Bake at 375 F for 6 to 8 minutes
