Cinnamon Slices 1 cup shortening
1/2  cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour (sifted)
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoons salt    

1. Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs
2. Mix in dry ingredients together in bowl
3. Stir in dry ingredients into shortening mixture
4. Mix thoroughly
5. Roll dough into logs that are about 2 1/2 inches in diameter
6. Chill logs over night
7. Slice into 1/8 inch slices
8. Place cookies on lightly greased cookie sheet
9. Bake at 400 F for 6 to 8 minutes
