Chocolate Sliced Cookie
1 1/4 cup butter
1 1/2  cup powdered sugar (sifted)
1 egg
3  cups cake flour (sifted)
4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  1. Cream butter, gradually adding sugar
  2. Add egg, mix well
  3. Stir in flour, cocoa, and salt
  4. Wrap in plastic wrap, chill at least two hours
  5. Roll dough into logs that are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter
  6. Roll logs in nuts, pressing nuts into logs
  7. Chill logs over night
  8. slice into 1/8 inch slices
  9. Place cookies on ungreased greased cookie sheet
  10. Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes
  11. Cool on sheet for several minutes, than transfer to wire rack
  12. When cooled, melt chocolate in double boiler and frost.
